The quest for a more calm and balanced existence is at the top of the list for those that have lived on the edge most of their lives or careers.
Choosing to eat cleaner or go vegan in many cases is the start of a new direction for many who have for so long followed traditional standards of eating.
Mind: Meditation is a practice that promotes relaxation, spiritual guidance and the building of internal energy. It is a way that in some practices focuses on centering the mind and shutting out the noise both inside and outside of the brain. The idea is to find a calm mental space that allows you the power to choose your thoughts whether with intention or full tranquility.
Body: Yoga is a practice that challenges the mind to focus while using breathing, body weight and stretching to create long lean muscles with improvement to posture and the skeleton structure.
Pilates is a body conditioning routine that helps with building flexibility, muscle strength, and endurance in the legs, abs, arms, hips, and back with emphasis on rotation and pelvic alignment with proper breathing in order to build a strong core while improving coordination and balance.
Spinning, one of the more vigorous of workouts, requires a high tolerance for exercise on a stationary bike that burns calories while keeping your muscles in shape. When consistant, there is an immediate payoff.
*Eating a clean diet is the way that nature intended by eating lean protein, complex carbs, and healthy fats. With this choice of eating, it is much easier to lose weight without working so hard. Hiring a nutritionist to jump start a program for you is a great way to start. If your budget is low, there are cook books that show you how to eat leaner and smarter for your well being and health.
Soul: Affirmations, Renewal, Positivity and practices that lead to a better reaction to the way you live and honor your words to others. Knowing in order to get respect you must also give respect to others. Taking the time to examine one’s motives, convictions and attitude.
Choosing to have calm instead of the stress that we all share in the work place, personal or in traffic. Men today choose to focus on their inner selves and that in turn is reflected when the mind, body and soul are in sync.
