A quick splash in the face and finger-combing your hair is no longer the ideal for men keeping up with todays rules and how they apply to lifestyle…
Men spend more time now with products that help with a perfect shave, a cool haircut and a great outfit.
Grooming habits and what is considered “good grooming” have varied greatly over time. Scented oils were a popular method of cleaning and softening skin and masking body odor. In the grooming arsenal of most men today you’ll find eye creams, skin softeners and age defying potions and the one or few of the various alluring fragrances on the market today…The over abundance of grooming products available today can lead to confusion over what works best…
I am a believer that if you’re going to spend money on clothing that have a high quality, then you most certainly should take yourself into consideration…
Let’s start from head to toe…
1) The Haircut: Depending on who you are wether a Banker or an Artist, the search to find the person that understands your lifestyle is essential… I am a huge fan of scissor over comb… My own opinion is that you achieve a much more natural and customize haircut as opposed to a clipper haircut (unless that is the look you personally want to achieve) … There are times when the combination of the two may work best for you but there should always be with a GREAT haircut, a good amount of scissor over comb… Any stylist that has perfected this craft will generally charge a bit more than your barber…
2) The Face: No matter what we should all have some regime to maintain GREAT skin… There are many cleansers and toners depending on your skin type… Over the counter and prescription if you have troubled skin…. Find a Dermatologist if you are prone to acne, dry patches and redness… Otherwise a great Esthetician you should have in your rolodex … Monthly facials are a GREAT way of keeping your skin hydrated, clear and well balanced… Shaving is a BIG one for us… The right razor, wether electric or single blade… Whatever you choose make sure that you shave without causing aberrations or ingrown hair. There are products like KIEL’S that have shaving creams for sensitive skin and toners that cleanse and help to close the pores. This way the skin keeps a balance and is less likely to irritate … If you have curly hair and tend to constantly have ingrown hair I recommend laser treatments… There are laser’s depending on what your needs are that can eliminate excessive amounts of hair and some relief or in my cause I eliminated all of the hair on my neck… It remains smooth and there is never the annoyance of ingrown hair… ~Please do your homework so that you are trusting someone licensed to use lasers for your skin type… For instance someone that has very fair skinned would need a different laser than someone who has a deeper amount of pigment… This way you are not left burned or scared…ALWAYS RESEARCH

2B) Teeth: Taking the time to brush, floss and gargle are the most important in terms of a great impression…
3) The Body: Working out and eating a well balanced meal is the key… There are no short cuts… If you have a problem committing? Hire a trainer to at least get you jump started…. Once you get over the hump it becomes a MUST in your life… Better Body, Better Fit for all of those great clothes…
4) Fingers and Toes: Let’s face it, when a man takes pride in the way they look, it is sexy. Obsessed about one’s looks is NOT attractive… Clean nails and feet are as apart of grooming as having a good cleanser… It’s healthier and eliminates odor and dry, callused feet and hands… ~Being comfortable with yourself means taking care of yourself….
Hope this helps you before your Wedding, That Big Meeting or just a slight adjustment to your lifestyle….
